About the project

Rise Up! Phase IV is funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DEFAT) November 2020- March 2025. World YWCA is implementing the program with YWCA member associations in each country, led by RiseUp! leads in each county. The program is being implemented in nine countries, including Bangladesh. The program’s goal is that Young Women are confident leaders who create Safe Spaces and networks and inspire other young women to build an inclusive society, imparting intergenerational leadership within the YWCA movement. We plan to impact over 6000 young women aged between 18-30 years through the Rise Up! Program. RiseUp! Bangladesh has successfully completed two years of achieving the goal of RiseUp!

Meaningful change starts from the empowerment of the individual through developing their practices, knowledge and skills. When empowered women and young women come together they make transformative change in others life. They can change social practices, institutional and governmental policies too. This Advocacy Conference will be based on a specific topic what will assist the participants to increase knowledge and work for human rights.
